We are 5th-generation Vermonters, and our family’s history is woven into this land. The bedrock laid down by ancient seas, the forests, the clear waters, and the fertile soils have shaped who we are—and who we’re becoming. Our grandparents homesteaded the land where our family now rests, and the values they instilled in us remain at the heart of everything we do.
We grew up running barefoot through the fields, climbing the hills, and learning to see each mountain as a kind of cathedral—quiet, grounding, and sacred in its own way. Today, as the next generation begins to grow, we see that same deep connection to place awakening again. Watching a child strengthen and flourish from the nourishment of this land reminds us why our work matters.
That connection—rooted in heritage, shaped by nature, and guided by hope for the future—inspires every product we craft at Tir na nOg Edibles.
Thank you for being part of this journey,

We are constantly seeking new ways to increase our sustainability, through the products we source, the packaging we use, or the manufacturing practices we employ.

The cannabis space is constantly evolving and expanding, we seek to stay at the forefront of these changes and to keep our customers informed as well. This includes transparency in our practices and pointing our customers in the right direction if we do not have a solution that fits their needs.

We believe that part of having a truly equitable market is providing options for all consumers, regardless of their budget. We work hard to keep our overhead low so we can pass those savings on to the consumer without sacrificing quality.

The short answer is, when you inhale cannabis smoke into your lungs, the active compounds, such as THC, are almost immediately absorbed into the bloodstream, making their way to the brain. Once the THC hits the brain, it binds to receptors in the endocannabinoid system, most notably the CB1 receptors, which produces the euphoria typically associated with getting high. Because the time between inhalation and THC reaching the brain is so short, smoking cannabis has a rapid onset. You'll feel the effects of smoking weed almost instantly. When you eat an edible, it passes through the digestive tract, where the stomach then absorbs it. Cannabis' active compounds are then metabolized in the liver, where the THC is converted into 11-hydroxy-THC, a compound that is both more potent and longer-lasting than THC. Because an edible has to go through the digestive tract and liver before getting absorbed into the bloodstream, it takes significantly longer for the THC to hit your brain. But once it does, it's stronger and has a longer half-life.
